Obituary for Teresa Ann Zdziech

Passed away on Wednesday, Jan 7, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Teresa was born to the late Julius and Genevieve (Bodzan) Nowocin on Dec 9, 1932 in Warsaw, Poland. She was a child of the Holocaust and survived 5 years in the Dachau Concentration Camp. Teresa married her husband Peter in 1949. They immigrated to the United States and she became a naturalized citizen in 1971. Together they lived in Delaware for 46 years and raised 6 sons. Teresa was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her generosity and love was unparalleled. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family or church.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, in 2007; her son, Bogdan J. Zdziech, in 2014; her sister, Rose Gajiewskia; and 3 brothers, Richard, Michael and Raymond Nowocin. She is survived by her 5 sons, Richard Zdziech (Agnes), Peter Zdziech (Faith), of Elkton, MD, Sylvester Zdziech, Stanley Zdziech (Janet), and John Zdziech (Sharon); 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nephew, Michael Nowocin; and many other family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hedwig R.C. Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilm., DE 19805, on Wednesday, Jan 14, 2015 at 11:00 am. Friends may call, prior to mass, at the church from 10:00-11:00am. Interment will be held in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
