Peggy was born and raised in Old New Castle. She taught at both St. Peter’s and Ursuline Academy. In 2008 she and her husband, Ronnie, moved to Lewes. Peggy loved smocking and started a smocking group called the Diamond State Stitchers, in Wilmington, DE. Her true passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Jack.
Peggy will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Ronnie J. Kernehan; her daughter, Colleen K. Best (Andrew); and grandson, Jackson T. Best. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas P. Sheridan and James V. Sheridan.
Her family would like to thank VITAS Hospice for the amazing care and support that they gave to Peggy.
