Obituary for Anne M Gravino (Perillo)
On January 27, 2016, Anne peacefully left this life to be rejoined with her husband, Danny Gravino and the Perillo clan who have preceded her. She is with great company and is in good hands.
Born Anne Mary Perillo, on January 19, 1933 to Nicholas and Mary Perillo of Wilmington, DE. In 1951 Anne met the love of her life, Dante A. Gravino, Sr. and they were married that same year. Together they spent 54 loving years raising their children and watching their family grow.
Anne worked for several years as a waitress at the Ye Ole Pub, Casa Angela’s and due to health reasons begrudgingly retired from the Cozy Corner where she was sometimes known as the singing waitress.
Anne was a beautiful, simple, complex woman and will always be remembered for her heart of gold.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dante, and son-in-law, John Finnegan.
She will be dearly missed by her four children, Gaetano, Dante Jr, Mary Kelly, and Kathleen; her children’s spouses, whom she loved as her own, Candice Gravino and Kenny Panella, her 11 grandchildren, Gaetano Jr, Katrina Anne, Mark, Nicole, Dante III, Kelsey Panella, Krista Panella, Jack Finnegan, Neil Finnegan and the twins Kenneth and Karlee Panella; and 8 great grandchildren.
Anne is also survived by her siblings, Catherine (Cass) Lucas and Eugene Perillo both of Wilmington, DE.
Her family and friends will sorely miss her, but are so glad to have had her in their lives and will most certainly be forever influenced by her love, kindness and generosity. Thank you for everything.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass held for Anne on February 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Rd., Wilm., DE 19805. A visitation will be held at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, from 9:00-10:30am. Interment will be private.
