Obituary for Robley F. "Robie" Hession, Jr.

Robie passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016, surrounded by his family.

Robie was born in Wilmington to the late Robley F. and Rosemarie (Montana) Hession. He was a 1968 DeLaWarr High School graduate. Robie was employed as a carpenter for many years with various construction companies. He was a meticulous craftsman who took great pride in his work.
Robie was a humble and kind man, who would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. In his youth, he was a phenomenal dancer and appeared on the Jerry Blavat show as Robe-a-Fonic-Robie.

Robie is survived by his sisters, Sharon (Jim) Lisi, Gail (Eddie) Arijon, and Eileen (Steven) Hession-Smith; his brother, Michael Hession (Tracie Edstrom). He was the favorite uncle of Tony, Kelly, Sean, Shannon, Veronica, and Chris. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, several loving cousins, and his uncle, William Hession.

Thank you to Seasons Hospice for the compassionate care of Robie in his final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Service on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sunday Breakfast Mission, PO Box 352, Wilmington, DE 19899 or Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite #407, Newark, DE 19713.
