Obituary for Ronald H. Alm

Ron passed quietly on Monday September 12, 2016 at 6:28PM after a valiant struggle at the Veterans Hospital in Wilmington, DE the age of 80. Ron was comforted by his immediate family as he began his final journey home.
Ron was born on March 24, 1936 in Minot, N.D. to the late Einar Axel and Gladys (Wall) Alm. Ron served in the United States Navy and received an Honorable Discharge after proudly serving his country. After leaving the Navy, Ron started his civilian life on the West Coast first in Seattle, then in San Francisco before making his way to the East Coast and eventually settling in Delaware. Ron was an avid reader and after his retirement he would read up to three books a week, and not the short ones. He also enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees. Rest assured if the Yankees were televised Ron was watching. He was a quiet man and although not often spoken aloud he loved his entire family.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Donna (nee Alm) Victor.

The family would like to thank all of Ron’s caregivers at the Delaware Veterans Hospital. The family also would like to acknowledge family and friends who have provided their support through this difficult time.
