Obituary for Joseph P. Reverdito

Age 92 of Wilmington, passed away at the Delaware Veterans Hospital on September 12, 2016.

Joseph faithfully served his country during World War II as an aircraft mechanic in the Navy as well as serving time in the Delaware Air National Guard. He was also a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 1984.

Joseph enjoyed restoring and working on cars and attending outdoor concerts. He loved to cook for the family, and his most treasured moments were those spent with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, in March of 2012. Joseph will be dearly missed by his daughter, Geralyn Facciolo (Joe); and his sons, Mark Reverdito (Becky) and Rick Reverdito. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole Facciolo and Shannon O’Connell (Tom).

The family would like to specially thank the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers at the VA Community Living Center for their kind support and care of Dad.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Road, Elsmere on Tuesday, September 20, at 11:30 am. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 am-11:30 am. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Joseph’s name to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
