Age 71 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Rita was born the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Doyle) Kelly.
She was a life-long resident of Wilmington, DE and parishioner of Corpus Christi Church. Rita retired from JC Penny’s after many years of dedicated service, however her greatest calling was as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
She will be remembered for her elaborate collection of all things Irish, her ponds and garden in her backyard, and her amazing fried chicken and Sunday dinners. Rita’s family will most dearly miss the love and joy she showed to each and every one of them.
Rita is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry A. Reynolds; her daughters, Debra Acton and her husband, John, and Donna Martinez and her husband, Jim; her son, Michael Reynolds and his wife, Michele; 8 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Rd., Wilm., DE 19805, on Tues, Oct 18 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:30-12:00. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Deacon David Deghetto of Corpus Christi Church and Vitas Health Care for all their care and compassion during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Rita’s name to Corpus Christi R.C. Church 905 New Road, Elsmere, DE 19805
