Obituary for Agnes T. Lovett (Toner)

Agnes passed away on December 21, 22016 surrounded by her family.
She was born November 17, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Agnes and Charles V Toner. She later moved to Upper Darby, PA where she married her childhood sweetheart, Edward. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker and was devoted to her youngest child, Margarita (Peggy), to whom she dedicated her entire life. Agnes was a beautiful artist enjoying both oil paints and occasional water colors having spent time after high school graduation at Moore Institute of Art. She also committed herself to the care of her sister Helen’s family following her death in 1970. Agnes’ devotion to the care of her sister’s 5 children, Edward, Peter, Ronald and Michael Hughes and Stacey Kohlbrenner is a tremendous example of the wonderful person that she was. After moving to Delaware in 1996, Agnes continued her love of painting by joining the Senior Center at the Cornerstone Church in Bear.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; three brothers, James P. Toner and William J. Toner and Charles V. Toner, Jr.; her two sisters, Mary Creighton and Helen Hughes; and her granddaughter, Tara Lynn Izzo
Agnes is survived by her four children, Mary Ann Izzo (Richard), John Lovett, Edward Lovett, Jr and Margarita (Peggy) Lovett. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Kim Riley, Richard Izzo III and Kristen Casel; and 11 great grandchildren.
Agnes’s overwhelming love and devotion to her entire family will always be a treasured memory. Agnes also enjoyed her nightly glass of wine. For your undying love and devotion, we raise our glasses to you. You will be missed!
A special thank you to the devoted caregivers at the Brookdale Assisted Living Facility and Compassionate Care Hospice.
