Margaret Moore Fitzpatrick
"Peggy"
Peggy Fitzpatrick, age 61, ended her long battle with metastatic breast cancer on Friday surrounded by her loving family. After graduating from Corpus Christi and Padua Academy in 1973, Peggy worked for Christiana Care for 29 years and Highmark for 9 years. She found joy in everything she did - from traveling and enjoying a good meal with her family, to doing crossword puzzles and playing along with Jeopardy, to cheering on her local sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, her resourcefulness, and her ever present smile.
Peggy is survived by the lights of her life, daughters Erin Fitzpatrick and Lindsay Fitzpatrick and son-in-law Steve Keshmiri; her brothers Don Moore (Julie), Bob Moore (Linda), and Kevin Moore (Shannon); and Mark Fitzpatrick (Rose). She was predeceased by parents Willard and Marie (McKinney) Moore, brother Terry Moore and sister Kathleen Lewis. She enjoyed the company of her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
A mass of Christian burial will be offered Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 11 AM at Corpus Christi RC Church in Elsmere followed by a celebration of life. Burial will be private at Peggy's request.
The family would like to thank the nurses and support staff on 6B at Christiana Hospital and at Season's Hospice. In lieu of flowers, her daughters request donations be made in Peggy's name to Planned Parenthood of DE 625 Shipley St. Wilmington, DE 19801.
