George also volunteered his services with the activities department, he enjoyed playing bingo and watching the horse races and playing the slots at Delaware Park. When the VA Hospital closed down their long term care unit, George went to live with his niece and caretaker, Margaret (Peggy) Aiello, where he resided until he became a permanent resident at the Delaware State Veterans Home in Milford, DE.
He had a smile for everyone and was loved by all who knew him.
