F.Thomas Greer
Age 73 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully on May 7, 2017. He was born to Juanita Walker Greer and Robert W Greer and raised by loving foster parents, Ben and Mabel Schlimme.
Tom's calling was his love of ministry and evangelical out reach. He was a lay leader for healing ministry and Eucharistic minister at Immanuel Church highlands in Wilmington. Tom spent over 25 years cooking oatmeal on Wednesdays at Emmanuel dining room feeding the homeless.
Tom owned BHG Unlimited insurance agency and in later years worked with Home Depot Christiana and PJ Fitzpatrick.
He is predeceased by siblings, RW Greer and Claire Scarcelli.
Tom is survived by his wife, Carol Greer; sons, Steven and Richard Greer; daughter, Alison Taub. He is also survived by his siblings, Carl and John Greer, Paul, Ben and Jill Schlimme, Millie Anderson and several grandchildren nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service for Tom at Immanuel Church Highlands, 2400 W 17th St A, Wilmington, DE 19806, on Saturday May 13 at 11:30. Friends may call at the church from 10:30-11:30am.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Emmanuel Dining Room, 115 East 14th St. Wilmington, DE 19801.
