Carl E. Schiavoni Sr.

Beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away suddenly on April 29, 2017 at his home in Marana, AZ.
He was born on October 27, 1948 to the late Francis Sr. and Frances Schiavoni. He was a 1968 graduate of Conrad High School, where he met his wife Connie (Walker), they were married on September 16, 1968. Carl served in Korea with the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He worked for the IBEW Local 313 as a master electrician where he retired from in 2010.
Carl was full of enegy, kindness, compassion, generosity and love. His true passions were his family and friends. Carl enjoyed entertainig others with his stories. His hobbies included remodeling, landscaping, gardening, and caring for his pets. He was known for his meticulous yard with beautiful flowers, as well as his creative home improvements.
A best friend to all who knew him, Carl is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Connie; son, Carl Jr. of San Francisco; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Darrin Ziegler of Middletwon; his best buddy, Osito, and the family cats. He is also survived by his brothers, his sister and their spouses, Richard and Sharon, Michael and Sara Ann, Francis and Linda, and Maryanne and Nick Schreier; along with many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial Mass for Carl at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Road, Wilmington, DE 19805 on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 am, followed by a rememberance of Carl’s life at 10:30.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Carl’s name to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr, Wilmington, DE 19804.
