Robert “Bob” Nelson, 94, of Wilmington, DE,
Passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, with his children by his side.
Bob was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Heber and Florence (Welte) Nelson. He was a graduate of P.S. DuPont High School, a Navy serviceman during World War II, and founder/owner of Tri-Color, Inc., a photo processing and printing company, which he ran for 47 years. Bob was married to Jacquelyn “Jackie” Nelson for 65 years. She passed on January 20, 2017.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved children, Diane Kuhl (Dave) of New York City and Dave Nelson (Susan) of Wilmington; his granddaughters, Katherine and Jennifer Kuhl; and his sister-in-law, Carole Wilson, of Salisbury, MD.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Bob at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805 on Friday, September 15 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, September 14 from 6:00pm-8:00 pm. Interment will take place at Silverbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Bob’s family suggests making contributions in his memory to The Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation Inc, 248 E Chestnut Hill Rd, Ste 4, Newark, DE, and the National Cancer Institute, 7625 W Hill Lane, Cupertino, CA .
