Obituary for Sharon Marie Johnston (Lawler)

Sharon Marie Johnston (Lawler)
Sharon Marie Johnston (Lawler)
On Friday, March 16, 2012, our beloved angel on earth was swept up in God’s hands and taken to eternal peace.
Sharon was a rare person on this earth as she had such a huge heart that there was room for everyone. She enjoyed her life and everyone in it. A devout Catholic, she insisted on praying for everyone she made a connection with in this world. There was no one who loved her family and friends more than her.
Sharon worked for many companies in her life, such as CBI, Dupont, Dupont Merck, Avon, Amazon, and Walmart. She enjoyed having her grandchildren around all of the time. In her down time, she loved to travel with her husband, Jim.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Helen Lawler; and her mother-in-law, Margaret Johnston. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Walter James (Jim) Johnston, Jr.; her daughter, Jennifer Hanifee (Patrick); her son, Walter James (Jimmy) Johnston, III (Sarah); her grandchildren, Kaitlin Hanifee, Cassidy Hanifee, Madison Hanifee, and Walter James (Little Jimmy) Johnston, IV; her step-granddaughter, Madison Burkman; her sisters, Kathleen Shields, Margo Merida, Mary Frances Lawler and her husband Gene Smith; her brother, William Lawler; her sister, Ann Marie Poch (Erich); and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter R. C. Church, 5th & Harmony Sts., New Castle, on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 11 am. Friends may call at the church from 9-11 am Thursday morning. Interment in Glebe Cemetery, New Castle.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to St. Peter Gym Restoration Fund, 621 Delaware St., New Castle, DE 19720.
