Don Warren Valencia, 54 passed away unexpectedly on Sunday January 7th, 2018.

Don worked in the fire protection field for many years and loved it.

Don was a dedicated Eagles and Phillies fan, he loved watching games from the stands, or from his TV with friends and family even if it was just listening to them on the radio.

Don enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family, he was a nationally ranked marksman, accomplished wrestler and chess player.

Don is welcomed in heaven by his mother and father, Dorothy and Don Valencia.

He was a loving younger brother to Bill (Cindi) Valencia, and Teresa (Jim) Galloway as well as Uncle to Brittany Valencia and Great Uncle to Hannah. Don was also the long time partner to Sharon Patton. Don leaves behind his three daughters Margaret Rose, Clare Anne, and Jennifer Mary whom he loved with all his heart. Don will also be missed by the son he never had, Gary Wayne Duren Jr., fiance to Margaret.

Some of his most cherished memories were times spent with family and friends laughing. Don had an incomparable sense of humor and a gentle heart. Some of his best memories include going to the beach with his daughters in Fenwick Island, DE. Don was an amazing father, friend, and brother who will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 5 to 7 pm, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service at the funeral home, at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
