Condolence: Don shall be remember to all of us in different ways. As a member of the old Demilec USA TEAM, he shall be remembered as a mentor, performer and that caring sound of a steady voice. Don was my first sales rep of my company. He joined Demilec USA at our infancy and at a time when our future was just a shadowy overcast. Over the years Don showed the staff how simplicity and consistency gets the job done. His sales technique was very simple, get to know the customer personally and take care of their needs. Don was the highest producer over the years. His warmth personality and soft spoken nature always prevail. His favorite words of wisdom to me, Let's not get excited today, we'll be around tomorrow to fight another day.
Don was not the most savvy computer guy but his reports was always on time. When the computer give him problems, he would say "what the heck, fax is just better".

Many of Don customers shall remember him as a knowledgable urethane chemist others shall remember him the solution provider. Team Demilec USA shall all remember Don as the soft spoken champion Uncle with a kind heart. When the group thinks that the job is tough, just look at Don for inspiration. He gets the job done.

For me, Don is my champion. I fondly refer to Don as the Duracell bunny; going, going and keep going. But, today my Duracell Bunny is no longer with us. I shall remember the quiet moments we spent together, having one special cognac and exchange of ideas, one-on-one. It did not matter how busy we were, the conversation over one solitary cognac was our little tradition. We fought many battles together, but those personal time with Don are cherished moments.

Don the time has come for my final goodbye, my champion, confidant and warm friend, we shall miss you. Sorry I cannot be in person to bid you farewell but my son Kevin will be there to represent the Old Demilec team and the Lall family. You have touch my family and the Old Demilec Team in many positive ways. RIP my Buddy.

Condolence: I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Don. I had the great pleasure of knowing him for many years through our business but he was so much more to my family. He was a gentle man, hard working and had the kindest soul. My brother and I were lucky to consider him as a mentor and "uncle". We will forever treasure the memories we had and hope his family finds comfort in knowing how he impacted our lives. We will never forget you Don. may you rest in peace. Love, Ana

Condolence: To the Waltz family....my deepest sympathies to the whole family.

I worked with Don at Demilec. I talked to Don everyday for almost nine years because I took all of Don's orders. He was a very special friend. Sometimes he just called me to say hello. He was the one of the greatest persons in my life and many of his customers admired and loved him too. I also have great memories of his visits to Texas. Many times Don, Chuck and myself would go to dinner and have some wonderful conversations of our families. Don really loved his grandchildren and was so proud of them. He will be truly missed by me and other Demilec ex-employees . I am praying for you as you grieve for Don.

Condolence: My deepest condolences and sympathies to the Waltz family. He was more than an incredible guy and feel lucky to have been able to have known him for many years. Just wanted to share a couple but very dear memories between Don and myself.

My Facebook Post from earlier today.

Just received some very sad news today. I'm sure many of have never heard of this man. But I can almost guarantee if you grew up in the 80s or 90s and even still to this day have been affected by him. Don Waltz was the inventor of Nerf. And all Nerf products many years ago. He was a chemist and developed this foam technology which translated into many nerf footballs and guns. We have known Don for over 25 years and even managed to have him be apart of our previous company. More than that Don Waltz has been a very close and personal family friend of ours. He had personally trained me on the art of selling polyurethane products and literally held my hand at Architect trade shows when I had no idea what I was doing.
With his many years of wisdom I had learnt a great deal from him. Don was the type of guy who could easily read people and treated them more like family than as an associate. I remember him even buying me beer when I wasn't old enough to sit at the bar at some of our conferences on more than one occasion. My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to his family. On behalf of the Lall family and all the people's lives you touched we will greatly miss you. It's been an honor and a pleasure knowing you sir all these wonderful years. May you Rest In Peace.
