Life Story for Penny Chelucci (Davis)

Penny  Chelucci (Davis)
Passed away on July 17,
2017.
Penny was born in Wilmington,
DE to the late George
and Emma Lou Davis.
She began working for
Delaware Trust in the late
1970’s as a teller and worked
her way up to Vice President
before retiring from her postion
after 15 years. She went
on to work for the State of
DE as the Director of Consumer
Affairs/Division of
Substance Abuse & Mental
Health.
Penny was a pioneer of
consumer advocacy, running
the Consumer Coalition
in the 1990’s. She was a
humble and compassionate
leader, she was happy and
persistently kind.
She was also an accomplished
artist, and the inspiration
behind the Creative
Vision Factory in Wilmington.
She was able to do all
this while battling chronic
health issues. With all of
these successes, her proudest
role was that of mother
to her three children, whom
she raised singlehandedly.
She is survived by her
children, Bruce (Lynn) Chelucci,
Bobbie Jean Chelucci,
and Michael G. Cullen;
grandchildren, Cyrus Elijah
Chelucci, Michael Muits,
and Matthew Muits; brothers,
George “Chip” Davis,
and Richard Davis; sister,
Patricia Lawson; as well
as her aunt and great aunt
Beth and wee Beth, and her
uncle Christian Davis; and
her many cherished friends.
Friends and family are invited
to attend the Service
for Penny on Friday, July
21, 2017 at 1:00 at Grace United
Methodist Church, 900
Washington St, Wilmington,
DE 19801. Friends may call
at the church from 12:00 to
1:00.
