Condolence From: Tara
Condolence: Sad to hear of Danny's passing. Growing up in Old New Castle there was a group of "guys" the girls all followed around giggling & Danny was one of them! We went to school together at William Penn & although were friendly weren't in each other's closest circles. A couple years ago, I was pretty desperately looking for some help with my home furnace that I had no idea how to fix or had the money to get it fixed. Danny, out of the blue, answered a Facebook post & offered up his service. When I contacted him, he made no secret of his struggles in life or the demons he fought every day. He came to the house, went to the store with me to make sure I got all the right parts, and got the heater working for me & my boys. While he was there, he talked at great length honestly & openly about the turns his life had taken since high school. He spoke about his suffering & that he knew he had caused some suffering. But he also talked about being a better person, husband & father. In just a few short hours, he had shared his life with me & I thought of him often since & hoped he was doing well. When Danny was done & the heater was fixed, he refused to take any payment, insisting it was what old friends did for each other. My thoughts are with Kim & their children as well as his parents & family in this difficult time.

Condolence: Danny was larger then life and in two years he gave me more joy than I could imagine. His love of life, his joy for nature and his amazing hugs will be in my heart forever.
